Kevin McMahon is the chairman and chief executive officer of Edwards and Kelcey, a position he has held since 1999. He joined the firm in 1991 after holding executive positions with several large consulting and telecommunications firms. He became Edwards and Kelcey’s chief operating officer in 1994 and the firm’s president in 1996.
Mr. McMahon’s primary focus has been to change the business model of the firm to achieve aggressive growth in the transportation, communications, institutional/com-
mercial and federal markets through sharply increased capabilities and by listening to clients’ needs. Mr. McMahon has overseen the company’s expansion into Design-Build and is actively involved in many of the firm’s largest projects. Using acquisitions and by leveraging Edwards and Kelcey’s half century of planning, consulting, engineering and construction experience, he has guided the organization and tripled its headcount, offices and revenue over the past seven years.
Mr. McMahon graduated magna cum laude from Seton Hall University, New Jersey, with an MBA in Marketing and International Business, where he received the W. Paul Stillman School of Business Leadership Award, and graduated cum laude from the State University of New York at Oswego with a BS in Business Administration and Economics. Recently, at the Harvard Business School, he completed an Executive Education Program on the subject of Leading Professional Service Firms.
He is a member of Beta Gamma Sigma, The National Honor Society for Business, is listed in Who’s Who Worldwide and is active in many engineering and construction industry associations and groups. Mr. McMahon is a trustee of The Moles, a prestigious heavy underground construction group founded in 1936.
