 Biography
Andrew J. McKelvey is the Chairman and CEO of Monster Worldwide, formerly known as TMP Worldwide Inc. McKelvey founded the company in 1967 and is a graduate of Westminster College.

With no capital and no clients initially, the company began focusing on the niche market of yellow page advertising and captured approximately a 30 percent share of the national accounts segment of the U.S. yellow pages advertising market. Under McKelvey’s direction, Monster Worldwide entered the human capital industry in 1993. In 1995, McKelvey prompted the acquisition of both The Monster Board and Online Career Center, two of the first 1,000 commercial sites on the World Wide Web. Monster Interactive was born.

Today the company boasts revenues of over $1 billion, which is comprised of Monster, Internet revenue, recruitment advertising, and yellow page advertising. Monster Worldwide now has approximately 4,500 employees serving more than 156,000 clients in 19 countries around the world.
